“This pandemic is not a joke, and we must do everything in our power to combat this threat. We are all at war with COVID-19 and must act accordingly, and we do not have time to debate unrelated issues in the face of the greatest public health crisis of our generation. There will be time in the future to properly debate other matters, but that time is not now. We in the Assembly need to do what our constituents are counting on us to do and pass a budget that addresses what’s most important, we cannot become distracted from this fight. It’s about what’s best for the people.”
