Tague Presents Assembly Citation to Fonda Speedway Hall of Fame Inductee Chris Fain

Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I-Schoharie) presented a New York State Assembly citation to Middleburgh resident Chris Fain, who was inducted into the Fonda Speedway Hall of Fame earlier this month. He also received the Chassis Builder award for his work assisting drivers and building cars for the Pro-Stock division in the Northeast.

Fain has served at points as a crew chief and has built chassis for cars of famed drivers such as Kenny “Krazy Kenny Martin” Martin, who was Pro-Stock Champion in 1996, 1997, and 2006. Martin notably won a race at the Syracuse Mile raceway using one of Fain’s stock cars.

“Chris transformed the sport of dirt track racing here in New York state and really helped take it to the next level,” said Tague. “He helped countless racers, including myself, push ourselves on and off the track. While Chris Fain was never one to steal out the spotlight, he had a passion for the sport like few people I’ve met before. He has made a mark on the lives of everyone that’s raced in his stock cars, including me. It was a real, personal honor to present this citation to such a talented friend and family man.”
