Assemblyman Doug Smith joined with County and Brookhaven Town Officials for grand opening of the long awaited ShopRite on Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma.

Assemblyman Smith said, “I want to thank our Charles Gallagher and his family for expanding from their successful Selden ShopRite location to this beautiful new store right here in the heart of Ronkonkoma. The Gallagher family have been truly philanthropic community leaders, and we thank them this morning for their generous donation of $10,000 to Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank. I know this store will serve our community well, and the hundreds of good union jobs that it provides are certainly a welcome addition to our town.”
