DeStefano Reacts to State’s Late Budget

A Statement from Assemblyman Joe DeStefano (R, C,I-Medford)

“This year’s budget is just as disappointing as any other, aside from the fact it’s over a week late,” said DeStefano. “The Majority in Albany has shown that the tax-and-spend mentality is not coming to an end anytime soon. It seems as if the budget grows and grows each year with few new sources of revenue. While it is fantastic to see tax cuts and a temporary suspension of the gas tax, where are the comprehensive tax reforms that will bring down the cost of living in our state? I was proud to support the part of the budget which allows fire departments that provide ambulance services to charge for emergency medical services, this will help volunteer fire departments immensely.”
