Assemblyman Joe DeStefano Appointed to the Transportation Committee
Assemblyman Joe DeStefano (R,C-Medford) is proud to announce his appointment as an alternate member of the New York State Assembly Budget Transportation Committee. This key appointment allows DeStefano to play a more active role in addressing the transportation and infrastructure needs of Long Island and the entire state.

As an alternate on the committee, DeStefano will be engaged in discussions on key transportation initiatives, including road and bridge repairs, public transit funding and safety enhancements. DeStefano has been a strong advocate for infrastructure investment, having previously supported funding increases for local road maintenance through the Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) and other critical transportation initiatives. His appointment to the Transportation Committee underscores his commitment to securing resources that will improve daily commutes and enhance economic growth throughout the region.
