Assemblyman Joe DeStefano (R,C,I,Ref-Medford) is encouraging all high school seniors and current college students to apply for the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators annual academic and athletic scholarships. Each scholarship is worth $3,000 and will be awarded to four students – two academic and two athletic. Winners will be announced in May and will be required to attend the award ceremony held on June 3, 2019.

“As the cost of higher education continues to increase, it is important that our students are made aware of these opportunities so college can remain an option for them,” said DeStefano. “I commend the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators for providing additional financial aid to students in need, and I encourage all who are eligible to apply.”
