Assemblyman Joe DeStefano (R,C,I,Ref-Medford) attended the 2019 Long Island Breast Cancer Forum at Farmingdale State College on July 24. The event focused on breast cancer awareness and the importance of screening. The forum featured a panel of speakers who discussed the importance of self-care and prevention.

“It was an honor to attend the Long Island Breast Cancer Forum at Farmingdale State College. Breast cancer affects many individuals in our community. It is not a partisan issue, it is a human issue, and all of us must come together to ensure that all New Yorkers have adequate access to the resources they need,” DeStefano said. “Education plays a key role in tackling this awful disease.
