Assemblyman Joe DeStefano (R,C,I,Ref-Medford) attended the 22^nd Annual New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony on October 8 inside the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, NY. Twenty-three firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty were honored in the ceremony.

“It was an honor to attend the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service today. This is a small, but wonderful way to commemorate the brave heroes who gave their lives in order to protect members of their community,” said DeStefano. “As an active member of the Medford Fire Department since 1980, I will continue to fight for our valiant first responders and advocate for their rights here in Albany.”
