Mikulin: Budget is a Trojan Horse in War on Suburban NY

A Statement from Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C-Bethpage)

“Any promise in the budget of increased funding for schools, libraries or law enforcement is nothing more than a Trojan horse from the governor if she continues with her plan to mandate accessible dwelling units and usurp local zoning authority. The landscape of our community will be forever changed, and the increased funding will be necessary to accommodate the increased population, not to help with the existing concerns of current residents. For generations, New Yorkers have worked hard for the American dream and Long Island in particular has been the embodiment of that dream for so many. With enactment of this plan, the governor would erase all of that and turn our suburban neighborhoods into the city.”
