Mikulin Collects Hundreds of Pounds of Supplies for Long Island Pets in Need

Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C,Ref-Bethpage) is pleased to announce the success of the Pet Drive he hosted with Long Island Cares, Inc. and Baxter’s Pet Pantry. The drive collected 862 pounds of food, cat litter, toys and other pet supplies to help Long Island families care for their animals. Boxes were set up at various locations, including libraries, pet stores and Mikulin’s district office.

“Pets can provide a tremendous amount of comfort to their loved ones, so I’m happy to be able to keep them at home with their families,” said Mikulin. “Thank you to all of those who donated supplies and to those who put out boxes for collection to help. I look forward to beating our final number at next year’s drive and to help even more of Long Island’s pets.”
