“My biggest concern this session is the lack of attention to this disastrous bail reform law and the affect it’s having on Long Island in particular. While it is a statewide issue, on Long Island we currently have a serious problem with the gang MS-13. Since the enactment of bail reform over 300 inmates have been released from a local jail in my district, including dangerous MS-13 members. This needs to be fixed immediately. It’s not helping our communities, it’s putting them in harms way.”
