Mikulin Pushes for Policy-Free Budget

A statement from Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C,I-Bethpage)

“As we look to expedite the budget process during this public health crisis, I hope that the governor and Assembly Majority will focus only on the finances of New York and not push their political agenda. Right now, it is important to pass a budget to keep New York operating as normal as possible. We do not need to have a budget that is weighed down with legislative and policy-related issues, something that, unfortunately, normally happens. I highly advise moving forward in this direction so we can come back at a later date to handle other proposals and legislation that we had planned on debating and discussing this Legislative Session before a state and national emergency were declared.”
