McGowan Presents Proclamation to St. Margaret of Antioch School
Assemblyman John McGowan (R,C-Rockland) presented a proclamation to St. Margaret of Antioch School on Friday, November 3, in honor of its 70th anniversary as a beacon of education, faith, and service in Pearl River. St. Margaret of Antioch School has exemplified a holistic approach to teaching, emphasizing education, character development and the installation of deeply held values. The students of St. Margaret of Antioch School adhere to the motto “To Serve, Not be Served,” and actively participate in various service projects, including food donations and fundraisers that support the Corporal Works of Mercy, spanning across several grade levels.
“It was an honor to join St. Margaret’s 70th anniversary this past weekend to recognize the remarkable tradition of Catholic education in Pearl River,” said McGowan. “My family’s connection to the school and parish is strong as my three sisters and I graduated from SMS and my mom, Pat, was the school nurse for many years. Congratulations to Principal Maldonado, faculty, staff, and community!”
