“Today, our community mourns the life of Rochester Police Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz. While on duty, protecting and serving the people of the City of Rochester, Officer Mazurkiewicz and fellow Officer Seno Sang were targeted by evil personified in a direct attack on the rule of law.

“This morning, Officer Mazurkiewicz didn’t make it home to his family. Every day the men and women of law enforcement put their lives on the line to keep our community safe, and one of our community’s own gave the ultimate sacrifice in an attempt to make our streets safer. My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Mazurkiewicz, his family, the Rochester Police Department and all those who are working to stop the pain and suffering caused by senseless, violent crime. 

“The disregard for human life in our community needs to end; the violence on our streets must end; the lives of the members of our community depend on it.”
