"With spring in the air, it's apparently still Groundhog Day in Albany. Back once again to pass another budget extender, the state government is still failing in its duty to deliver an on-time budget to the people of New York. It seems as if, despite one-party control of state government, there is no agreement or consensus on how we can create a state spending plan that works for all New Yorkers. With this failure continuing into another week, it is time for the state’s residents to demand that representatives from ALL legislative conferences be included in ongoing negotiations so budget bills can be sent to the floor of the Assembly and Senate to receive a vote from a majority of members, regardless of political party."
