Jensen: Remove Curfew on Restaurants and Bars
Assemblyman Josh Jensen (R,C,I-Greece) has proudly joined his colleagues in the Senate and Assembly Minority Conferences in calling for the removal of the 11 p.m. curfew on restaurants and bars across New York state.
Gov. Cuomo has allowed the curfew to be lifted on casinos, bowling alleys, pool halls and gyms starting on April 5, 2021, yet the curfew remains in place for restaurants and bars.
“As our state continues to see a decline in positive COVID-19 cases and more of our residents become eligible to receive the vaccine, it is time to lift the curfew on restaurants and bars,” said Jensen. “By lifting the curfew, they can work toward a path of economic recovery for these small businesses after struggling to stay afloat for so many months.
“I’m proud to join my colleagues in the Senate and Assembly Minority Conferences in calling for the removal of the curfew and I sincerely hope our counterparts in the Majority will step-up and pass a resolution to overturn this restriction.”
