Fitzpatrick, Assembly Minority Conference Hold “Sex Offender Watch” Task Force Event
Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick (R,C,I-Smithtown) and the Long Island Assembly Minority delegation hosted a Sex Offender Watch Task Force event in Merrick, NY last week to discuss ways to protect the community. Assemblyman Fitzpatrick and fellow minority assembly members met with representatives from victim’s rights organizations, the district attorney’s office, the sheriff’s department, and local school superintendents to discuss the effectiveness of current state legislation pertaining to sex offenders and to develop strategies to increase safety for women and children.
