Fitzpatrick Invites Suffolk County Residents To Job Fair
Long Islanders can meet with over 20 employers on February 28
Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick (R,C,I-Smithtown) is urging area residents seeking employment to attend an upcoming job fair sponsored by the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center. Featuring a host of employers, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nesconset Branch of the Smithtown Special Library District on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
“New York, particularly Long Island, faces a high rate of unemployment,” said Fitzpatrick. “This day will provide our residents with a chance to present their resumes to professionals looking to hire. It is a good networking opportunity for my constituents, and I urge anyone seeking employment to attend.”
Job seekers are invited to bring along a resume and dress for success. The employers scheduled to attend include the Suffolk County Civil Service Department, U.S. Navy Mercy Haven, Utopia Home Care, Developmental Disabilities Institute, Suffolk County Community College, United Healthcare, St. Joseph’s College, Manpower, U.S. Army, Briarcliff College, New York Life and Attentive Services.
