Assemblymember Wallace Addresses Transportation Concerns in Cheektowaga
January 16, 2018
“I recently participated in a Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce roundtable discussion where I heard from numerous community leaders about the need for better public transportation, particularly for low-income and elderly residents. Last year, I successfully advocated for more funding for the NFTA to address these persistent issues. Knowing that we face a significant budget deficit, I’ll do everything I can to secure additional state resources in this year’s budget.”
“Furthermore, I’m supporting legislation, which is sponsored by Sen. Tim Kennedy in the state Senate, to provide a tax credit to businesses that subsidize a portion of their employees’ use of public transportation to better connect employees to their jobs.”
