Assemblyman Nader J. Sayegh today joined a chorus of leaders around the world in condemning the terrorist attacks which took place this morning in New Zealand which left 49 dead and dozens of others wounded.
My deepest sympathies go out members of the Islamic faith and to those who knew the victims of today's horrific attack in New Zealand. said Assemblyman Sayegh. Bigotry and Islamaphobia must be rejected in all forms. We must rise up defending the rights of the over nearly 2 billion parishioners worldwide who only wish to practice a religion of peace, in peace.
In an act of solidarity, Assemblyman Sayegh will join the Andulusia School located at 380 Walnut St, Yonkers, NY 10701, a highly rated Muslim school serving students Pre-K through 12 and where he formerly served as superintendent and principal in their daily prayer today at 1:00 PM EST.
