Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) today announced the launch of his new Facebook page, “Assemblyman Phil Palmesano,” and the addition of two new helpful links to his Assembly website: “Kids’ Page” and “About the Assembly and Capitol.” “One of my top priorities as an assemblyman is to make sure I’m doing everything I can to represent the needs of my constituents and provide beneficial resources to them,” said Palmesano. “I hope this new Facebook page will be an effective way to keep constituents up-to-date on what’s happening in state government and the 132nd Assembly District, and also be a forum for people to discuss what is important to them in state government.” Of the new links, the “Kids’ Page” offers a variety of useful tools to learn about state government, specifically tailored for kids from kindergarten to sixth grade, and for teenagers in seventh to twelfth grades. The page offers word searches and coloring books for younger kids, but also has an array of options for older kids and teenagers that offer great history lessons about the Assembly and some of its most prominent members. The “About the Assembly and Capitol” page offers virtual tours of the Capitol for those who haven’t visited Albany and resources on the ongoing Capitol renovations. The page also offers information on how to visit the Capitol and get around the capital district. “I hope the new website links will be useful for those interested in learning about the Assembly and Capitol and that kids can take advantage of the new ‘Kids’ Page’ to learn about state government and how it works,” said Palmesano. He now represents the new 132nd Assembly District, which consists of the majority of Steuben County, all of Schuyler and Yates counties, and portions of Chemung (towns of Catlin, Erin, Van Etten and Veteran) and Seneca (towns of Covert, Lodi, Ovid and Romulus) counties.
