Palmesano Encourages Residents, Organizations And Local Governments To Take Advantage Of Grant Opportunities

Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) is sending a bulletin to residents, organizations and local governments about a series of grants available from the state, the federal government and private entities. Each month, the Assembly provides an updated list of grants for a variety of categories, ranging from funding for transportation projects to supporting family caregivers.

“During a time of economic recovery, grants can play an even greater role in helping a town complete needed road repairs or provide vital assistance to a family caring for a loved one in need,” said Palmesano. “Many people don’t realize how many opportunities are available because they aren’t sure where to look. The ‘Grant Action News’ bulletin helps make finding these grants much easier by consolidating the information and making it available to everyone. It is my hope residents, organizations and local governments throughout the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions will be able to use this resource to find much-needed support and lead to stronger communities in our rural region.”

The “Grant Action News” bulletin is updated at the beginning of each month with new grants available and information on how to apply. In the coming months, Assemblyman Palmesano will be providing regular updates on his Assembly website at: http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/Philip-A-Palmesano, as well as posts to his Facebook page, just like “Assemblyman Phil Palmesano” to stay up to date on new grant information.
