Assemblymen Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) and Chris Friend (R-Big Flats) were pleased to host a contingency of American Red Cross Officials in Albany today, including American Red Cross Sullivan Trail Chapter Executive Director Joel Robinson, Jr., State Disaster Coordinating Team Co-Chair Steve Monroe, and Red Cross State Official Michael Hoplight.
“We were pleased to meet with these outstanding public servants. The Red Cross does a tremendous amount of work in our local community. During times of disaster, it is a stabilizing force of essential relief for our Southern Tier and Finger Lakes communities,” said Palmesano and Friend in a joint statement.
The officials were in Albany for the annual American Red Cross Advocacy and Awareness Day.
