Those who participated in this year’s event included:
Rep. Elise Stefanik

Fulton and Montgomery counties’ Offices for the Aging

Smullen said this year’s event was a huge success—400 meals were delivered to veterans and seniors in need across 20 counties in New York state.
“Special thanks to Tom Georgia and Don Wicksell for continuing to organize and help this program grow each year,” said Smullen. “Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who helped out today and thank you to our local hunters for contributing so much harvested venison to this incredible program. I am incredibly proud of the turnout and enthusiasm we see year after year at the Venison for Veterans events. As a former U.S. Marine and fierce advocate for veteran support in New York state, it is inspirational to see so many caring individuals take the time to assist veterans in the community.”
“Those who served our country deserve our undying respect and gratitude, and the Venison for Veterans program allows communities statewide to come together and give back to our courageous veterans. I am excited to see this program continue to grow and expand to other counties statewide in the future,” concluded Smullen.
