Assemblyman Scott Bendett (R,C-Sand Lake) is sponsoring a youth sporting goods drive at the Averill Park High School from May 1 to May 6. This event will be a great opportunity for residents from the 107th Assembly District to drop off new or gently-used youth sporting equipment for spring and summer. Donations can include helmets, catcher’s mitts, protective gear, cleats and more.

“I am very excited for this drive as I think it’s a great opportunity for families in the district to save a little money and find some great equipment for their young athletes,” said Bendett. “It’s very important for our children to get involved in sports as the knowledge and skills they gain from working as a team builds character and leadership abilities that will be invaluable after graduation—and having the proper gear and equipment to stay safe and have fun out on the field or court is equally important.”
