Assemblyman Scott Bendett (R,C-Sand Lake) was pleased with the local participation in last week's youth sporting goods drive. The district office received a large number of donations including skis, snowboards, baseball gloves, hockey sticks, football and baseball helmets. All equipment received will be donated to the Rensselaer County Youth Department.

“As a legislator and former college athlete, it brings me great fulfillment to see such generosity from our community. The donations we received last week will benefit the Rensselaer County Youth Department which in turn will help youth of all ages receive the equipment they need to participate in local sports. The lessons learned and relationships made in sports are so enriching for any child, and no child should have to miss out,” said Bendett.
