DiNapoli, Assemblymember Eichenstein Tour Borough Park

Visit with local businesses, join Sukkot celebrations and return unclaimed funds

New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli joined Assemblymember Simcha Eichenstein for a tour of businesses along 13th Avenue in Borough Park on Tuesday. They met with local business owners and presented checks from the Comptroller’s Office of Unclaimed Funds.

“It was a wonderful and welcoming visit to Borough Park to meet residents and business owners and celebrate the start of Sukkot,” DiNapoli said. “My thanks to Assemblymember Eichenstein and to all the residents, business owners and workers along 13th Avenue who opened their doors to us. I encourage all New Yorkers in Brooklyn and around the state to check our Unclaimed Funds website to see if they – or family, friends or favorite organizations – have lost money waiting to be claimed.”

“It was an honor to tour Boro Park with Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, especially during the busy pre-Sukkot holiday season. I was thrilled to have joined him on this visit to our unique neighborhood,” said Assembly Member Simcha Eichenstein. “Returning unclaimed funds to local merchants was an extra added bonus and I join Comptroller DiNapoli in encouraging everyone to check the unclaimed funds website for funds of their own that may be sitting dormant and are waiting to be claimed.”

The two returned Unclaimed Funds to the 13th Avenue Home Center, Satmar Meats, Judaica Corner, Mefoar Judaica and Fine Pharmacy and visited with several other businesses along the avenue, including Toys 4 U and Signature Silver.
