Brooklyn, NY – Assembly Member Stefani L. Zinerman (D-Kings County) announced that she is seeking nominations of women who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others within the neighborhoods of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights. A total of nine (9) awards will be presented during the 2022 Women of Distinction Awards, a virtual and in-person event at 3pm on Sunday, March 13, 2022.

Awards will be presented to phenomenal women in each of the following industries: Arts & Culture, Business, Caregiver/Humanitarian work, Community Development, Education, Healthcare, Military Service, Volunteerism, and Woman of Promise (18-25 years old).

"It is my distinct honor and privilege to continue the tradition of paying tribute to the phenomenal women of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights," said Assemblymember Zinerman. “As we celebrate Women's History Month, join me in recognizing nine incredible women of different ages and cultures who provide healing, promote hope, and remain a positive force for change throughout this pandemic. We want to pay homage to those who move our families forward, keep our businesses and organizations operating, and ensure that the 56th Assembly District continues to thrive."
