Assemblyman Colton is Pleased to Announce that he Allocated $1,000,000 in Capital Funding to the NYC Health +/South Brooklyn Health

Assemblyman William Colton (D – Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, and Dyker Heights) is happy to announce that yesterday at the press conference a $1,000,000 check in Capital Funding was presented to the NYC Health+/South Brooklyn Health CEO Svetlana Lipyanskaya and Chief of Cardiology Sudhanva Hegde to replace six echocardiogram machines to support the expansion of their cardiac services.

“I am glad that the South Brooklyn residents who are having acute heart attacks will be able to receive comprehensive cardiac services close to home. This medical facility has served and saved countless lives. Now with the new cardiology equipment, the cardiac patients will receive the state-of-the-art care they deserve,” Colton stated.

“The South Brooklyn Health is now a New York State Certified Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) Center. Replacing these lifesaving units will not only save the lives of patients needing cardiac care but also will diagnose and manage the large segment of the community with cardiovascular disease issues and help South Brooklyn Health expand its high quality of care to the community’s health needs,” Colton added.
