NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Committees will seek testimony on the compliance of local public authorities with the Public Authorities Reform Act of 2009 (PARA). This hearing will also provide an opportunity for the Committees to examine the relationship between municipal governments and local development corporations regarding State procurement laws and other economic development activities. Testimony may be provided on A. 7510 (Brennan) & A. 7798 (Brennan) and on such other matters as appropriate.

Persons invited to present pertinent testimony to the Committees at the above hearing should complete and return the enclosed reply form as soon as possible. It is important that the reply form be fully completed and returned so that persons may be notified in the event of emergency postponement or cancellation.

Twelve copies of any prepared testimony should be submitted at the hearing registration desk. The Committees would appreciate advance receipt of prepared statements.

In order to further publicize these hearings, please inform interested parties and organizations of the Committees' interest in considering testimony from all sources.

I plan to attend the public hearing on Regulatory Oversight of Local Public Authorities and Development Corporations & Compliance with the Public Authorities Reform Act of 2009 (PARA) to be held by the Assembly Standing Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions and the Assembly Standing Committee on Local Governments.

I have been invited to make a public statement at the hearing. I will answer any questions that may arise. I will provide 12 copies of my prepared statement.
