NYCHA's $2.4 billion five-year capital program (2012-2016) is intended to provide much needed infrastructure improvements, rehabilitation of facilities, and ensure the overall financial stability of the Authority. As NYCHA continues to operate with large capital and operating deficits and explore ways to diversify its funding, the Committee will seek to review its operating and capital programs to examine whether there is a need for greater transparency and accountability.

Persons invited to present pertinent testimony to the Committee at the above hearing should complete and return the enclosed reply form as soon as possible. It is important that the reply form be fully completed and returned so that persons may be notified in the event of emergency postponement or cancellation.

Ten copies of any prepared testimony should be submitted at the hearing registration desk. The Committee would appreciate advance receipt of prepared statements.
