New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua) is pictured above speaking to hundreds of concerned citizens and law-abiding gun owners at an educational forum about New York's recently-enacted gun laws on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua. Leader Kolb hosted the standing room only event and has consistently opposed the NY SAFE Act due to its lack of public input and failure to ensure meaningful protection for children, families and communities.

Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero, Ontario County Clerk Matthew Hoose, NYSRPA President Tom King and S.C.O.P.E. President Steve Aldstadt helped answer questions and concerns from forum attendees. Topics discussed included how the new gun laws will affect gun ownership, ammunition requirements and other concerns of law-abiding gun owners, including an infringement of their constitutional freedoms.
