New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) was presented on Tuesday with the "Guardian of Small Business" Award by National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) State Director Mike Durant (right) and Assistant State Director Erin DeSantis (left). It is the sixth time Leader Kolb has been recognized with the award. The "Guardian" award is NFIB's most prestigious honor and is given to legislators in recognition of efforts to support small businesses. As a former business owner, Leader Kolb understands the challenges facing small businesses and job creators. During the 2015 Legislative Session, he will continue to push for reforms to lower taxes and lessen the burden of regulations and red tape to make owning and running a business easier in New York.
