An act relating to funding for the office for people with developmental

PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Provides funding for programs within the New York State Office for
People with Developmental Disabilities.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 The sum of one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000), or so much
there of as may be necessary is hereby appropriated to the Office for
People with Developmental Disabilities out of any moneys appropriated to
the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the 20223-2024 State Fiscal
Plan, and made immediately available for programs and services for
persons with developmental disabilities. Such moneys shall be-payable on
the audit and warrant of the office for the people with developmental
disabilities in the manner prescribed by law.,
Section 2. This act should take effect April 1, 2025

JUSTIFICATION:
To ensure that the New York State Office for People with Developmental
Disabilities are able to provide the necessary programs and services
needed in New York State to assist people with Developmental Disabili-
ties.

AN ACT relating to funding for the office for people with developmental
disabilities
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The sum of one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000), or so much
2 thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the office for
3 people with developmental disabilities out of any moneys appropriated to
4 the metropolitan transportation authority in the 2025-2026 state fiscal
5 plan, and made immediately available for programs and services for
6 persons with developmental disabilities. Such moneys shall be payable on
7 the audit and warrant of the comptroller on vouchers certified or
8 approved by the commissioner of the office for people with developmental
9 disabilities in the manner prescribed by law.
10 § 2. This act shall take effect April 1, 2025.
