       AN ACT to amend the not-for-profit corporation law, in relation  to  the
         penalty for crematory operations

         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

    1    Section 1. Section 1517  of  the  not-for-profit  corporation  law  is
    2  amended by adding a new paragraph (k) to read as follows:
    3    (K)  WHENEVER  A  PERSON VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, SUCH
    4  PERSON SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A CLASS E FELONY.
    5    S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
    6  it shall have become a law.
