        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  general  business law, in relation to marijuana

          themed candy
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
     2  399-j to read as follows:
     3    §  399-j.  Marijuana  themed  candy. 1. No candy or confection sold in
     4  this state shall be packaged, shaped or manufactured to  resemble  mari-
     5  juana or marijuana products or to imitate the flavor of marijuana.
     6    2.  A  violation of the provisions of this section shall be punishable
     7  by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or a term  of  imprison-
     8  ment of up to one year, or both such fine and imprisonment.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of November next succeed-
    10  ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
