        AN ACT to amend the general  business  law,  in  relation  to  requiring
          hotels,  motels and innkeepers to offer condoms for sale to registered
          guests
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
     2  204-b to read as follows:
     3    §  204-b.  Sale  of  condoms.  Every keeper of a hotel or motel or inn
     4  shall, in the registration office, sell or offer for sale to  registered
     5  guests  of  such  hotel  or motel or inn condoms or similar prophylactic
     6  devices designed to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
     8  have become a law.
