AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to
prohibiting the discharge of firearms or long bows within one thousand
feet of a school or school playground
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subparagraph 2 of paragraph a of subdivision 4 of section
2 11-0931 of the environmental conservation law is amended to read as
3 follows:
4 (2) discharge a firearm or long bow within (i) five hundred feet from
5 a dwelling house, farm building or farm structure actually occupied or
6 used[, school building, school playground,] or occupied factory or
7 church, or (ii) one thousand feet from a school building or school play-
8 ground;
9 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
