AN ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in
relation to waiver of certain fees
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 13.15 of the parks, recreation and historic preser-
2 vation law is amended by adding a new subdivision 3-a to read as
3 follows:
4 3-a. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
5 senior citizens shall be entitled to use any park, recreational facility
6 or historic site under the jurisdiction of the office upon the same
7 terms and conditions as apply to the general public, but without the
8 payment of any fee or other charge for such use. For purposes of this
9 subdivision the term "senior citizens" shall mean persons sixty-five
10 years of age or older.
11 § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
12 have become a law. Effective immediately the addition, amendment and/or
13 repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implementation of
14 this act on its effective date are authorized to be made on or before
15 such date.
