        AN  ACT  to  provide that schools, child day cares, day care centers, or
          community based organizations which support  activities  for  children
          under the age of eighteen can not serve as a shelter for migrants

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, no funds
     2  appropriated for the  humanitarian  aid  including  short  term  shelter
     3  services to migrant individuals and families, including costs associated
     4  with  humanitarian emergency response and relief centers for individuals
     5  entering short term shelter on or after April 1, 2022 in New  York  city
     6  or any other municipality in New York state may be used for the emergen-
     7  cy  sheltering  of  migrant adults in a school, child day care, day care
     8  center, or community based organization which  supports  activities  for
     9  children under the age of eighteen.
    10    §  2.  This  act  shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to
    11  have been in full force and effect on and after April 1, 2022.
