          Committee on Governmental Employees
 
        AN ACT to amend the retirement and social security law, in  relation  to
          removing  the  earnings  limitation  for employment of certain retired
          persons as school bus drivers; and providing for the  repeal  of  such
          provisions upon the expiration thereof
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 212 of the retirement and social  security  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4.  Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivisions one and two of this
     4  section, such annual earnings limitations shall not apply to  a  retired
     5  person  employed  by  a school district or a board of cooperative educa-
     6  tional services as a school bus driver, provided  that  such  person  is
     7  duly qualified and is properly certified as a school bus driver.
     8    §  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
     9  deemed repealed December 31, 2022.
