GUNTHER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Correction AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to providing information regarding medicare part B coverage to certain individuals The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 71 of the correction law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 7-a to read as follows: 3 7-a. Whenever the department receives information that a person 4 committed to the department is a medicare part B recipient, the depart- 5 ment shall provide to such person information regarding termination of 6 medicare part B coverage for the duration of incarceration. 7 § 2.
