Assemblyman Weisenberg Comments on Paul Brady Court Decision
June 28, 2012
“The Appellate Division of the Second Judicial Department stated that the late Paul Brady was wrongfully denied his place on the Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Albany. I have been fighting to get justice for his family, and I am gratified that the court ruled to have him placed on the memorial.
“No family who has lost a family member in the line-of-duty should ever have to go through what Paul Brady’s family has had to go through. To make them wait six years for his sacrifice to be recognized is simply unacceptable. I am hopeful that this appellate division court decision will send the message that any firefighter who dies in the line-of-duty will be included on the memorial, and that Paul Brady’s name will be added promptly.”
