Brooklyn, NY – On April 28, 2006, Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman, in coordination with COPS-CARE and Keyspan, will host a fingerprinting and photo identification event for children. The purpose of the event is to ensure that families have quality identification data for their children to use in the event of an emergency.
The event will be held in the auditorium of P.S. 29 from 3:30 – 6:00 PM and parents can bring their children to receive a free “Child Passport” which includes a digital image of the child, fingerprints, and physical information. All records are the sole property of the family of the child and the police will not retain any information.
300 “Child Passports” are available to all children on a first come, first serve basis. All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
