Millman Provides Free Flu Shots to 150 Local Residents

Brooklyn, NY - As part of an ongoing effort to bring services to the District, Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman, in partnership with Long Island College Hospital in Cobble Hill, administered 150 free flu shots.
Adults of all ages from across the 52nd Assembly District lined up at Assemblywoman Millman’s office to receive the vaccine on Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13, 2006. This is the third year in a row Millman has provided free flu shots, and she plans on continuing the service pending availability at the start of the next flu season.
“Access to flu shots is an important public health initiative, especially for seniors and those with compromised immune systems” stated Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman. “I want to thank Long Island College Hospital for its support in providing important health services to my constituents.”
