Millman’s Senior Movie Day is a Success

August 30, 2007
Brooklyn – This morning Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman treated over 100 seniors from the 52nd District to a showing of The Nanny Diaries at the Cobble Hill Cinema. Seniors from the Raices Access Program, Park Slope Geriatric Day Center, St. Charles Jubilee Senior Center, Eileen C. Dugan Senior Center and the community packed the first floor theatre. Before the movie, Assemblywoman Millman addressed the group, encouraging members of the audience to come again next year and invite their friends. Assemblywoman Millman also had the opportunity to discuss issues with many of the attendees after the show.

“I am pleased so many seniors were able to come and enjoy the movie,” said Millman. “I would like to thank the staff at Raices, the Park Slope Geriatric Day Center, St. Charles Jubilee, the Dugan Center and the Cobble Hill Cinema for making this event such a success and look forward to working together again for next summer’s senior movie.”
