Millman Presents $100,000 in Funding to Old Stone House and J.J. Byrne Park
October 15, 2007

Brooklyn Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman announced $100,000 in state funding that she secured for the Old Stone House and J.J. Byrne Park at the Annual Old Stone House Harvest Festival. The Harvest Festival, sponsored by the Old Stone House and Park Slope Parents, included activities for families including a petting zoo, pony rides, live music, face painting, crafts and a costume and clothing exchange.
I am pleased to present this check of $100,000 in state funding to the Old Stone House and J.J. Byrne Park, stated Assemblywoman Millman. This park has been transformed into a safe and fun place for use by everyone, as shown by the array of events and crowd here at the Harvest Festival. Thanks in part to this funding, we can ensure that J.J. Byrne Park continues to be a special place for the Park Slope community.
