Millman Hosts Free Flu Shots
October 19, 2007

Brooklyn – For the fourth year in a row, Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman and Long Island College Hospital partnered to administer 200 free flu shots to constituents of the 52nd Assembly District. On Wednesday, October 17th and Friday, October 19th, constituents received flu shots at Assemblywoman Millman’s district office. While the flu shots were available to adults of all ages, it is especially important that senior citizens and those with compromised immune systems receive the vaccination.
“With the winter months approaching and flu season on its way, it is a critical time for people to get vaccinated against this virus,” said Assemblywoman Millman. “I am grateful to Long Island College Hospital for their support in making this public health service available to my constituents. I intend to offer free flu shots again next year, pending their continued availability.”
