Brooklyn, NY – Beginning this week, the TKTS Discount Ticket Booth in Downtown Brooklyn will be open Saturdays, thanks to the efforts of Assemblywoman Joan Millman.
With the ticket office open on Saturday, customers will be able to purchase discount Broadway, Off-Broadway, music, dance and Brooklyn performing arts tickets for Saturday evening and Sunday matinee performances. TKTS Downtown Brooklyn is the only TKTS location to offer tickets to events in Brooklyn for the full week in which an event performs.
“I thank the Theatre Development Fund and Mike Weiss of MetroTech BID for making these new Saturday hours possible,” said Millman. “Now Brooklyn residents and visitors can purchase discount tickets to enjoy weekend shows. TKTS Downtown Brooklyn will be even more successful with these new Saturday hours.”
The new hours of TKTS Downtown Brooklyn, located at One MetroTech Center, will be Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The TKTS program is run by the Theatre Development Fund, a non-profit organization dedicating to ensuring that millions of New Yorkers and tourists who may not otherwise be able to afford tickets to a live performance can do so.
