Assembly to Hold Brooklyn Hearing on Mayoral Control

Brooklyn – Assemblywoman Joan Millman encourages concerned educators, advocates, parents and students to attend a New York State Assembly Education Committee public hearing on NYC school governance on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 10:00 am at the New York City Technical College Klitgord Auditorium, located at 285 Jay Street. Attendees must pre-register with the committee by completing a form on the committee’s website at http://www.assembly.state.ny.us/comm./Ed/20090119/ .

The Education Committee, of which Millman is a member, is holding one public hearing on the issue in each borough of the City. New York City Technical College’s Klitgord Auditorium is accessible to the A, C and F trains at Jay Street- Borough Hall Station and the M and R trains at Lawrence Street- MetroTech Center Station.
